Little Claire's Sketch Challenge

It's challenge time once again over at Little Claire's and this time it's a sketch to follow. So, I have followed the sketch quite closely.

I have used the lovely 'Victoria' stamp for the image and you can find it on the website at the link below. Unfortunately it's sold out at the moment but I am sure if you keep an eye on the link it will be back in stock soon.

The sentiment is also from Little Claire's but it's a sneak peak of a larger set that's due for release, due out in May, so watch this space.

The lovely papers were actually freebies from a magazine (they are doing some lovely sets lately), and I have a feeling it 'My Minds Eye', but don't quote me on that!!

Finally, I don't know if you can see the little blobs on the bottom, but they are little acrylic dots called Doodle Dewrops from Polka Doodles. I like them as you get loads for only a couple of pounds (always good!) and they are a bit more subtle than some of the other embellishments that you can use. Possibly a little too subtle for this photo, but, trust me, on the actual card they look lovely.

Anyway, don't forget to pop over to the Little Claire's blog to check out the other gorgeous designs by the DT and I hope you can join us on the challenge. Here's a quick link for you.

HRHs and PJs

Well today I am not ashamed to say that I have sat in my pyjamas until midday! It's not my normal style, but I got up intending to casually watch the Royal Wedding in the backgound whilst getting on with other things, but ended up totally hooked and watching every moment.

A quick round up of my thoughts:

- I was having kittens when Prince William didn't come out of Clarence House on schedule - was wondering if his nerves had got the better of him.

- I found the whole thing a lot more emotional than I expected......I guess I am a softy after all.

- I thought Kate's dress was FAB!!!

- And my final thought.......would it really kill Victoria Beckham to crack a smile once in a while? I think I would like her a lot more if she did!!!

Based on that little list, I don't think I'll ever make it as a Royal Correspondent, so I guess I had better stick with the card making. And on that note, here's a picture (rubbish quality - sorry!) of a card I made using the Little Claire's hedgehogs, which I belive are going to be featuring in one of the May shows on Create and Craft.

That's it from me today. Thanks for looking.

Sugar and Spice and all things nice......

A new little bundle of joy has arrived in my life as of Thursday last weeek, in the shape of baby Safiya, born to one of my good friends. She is a real cutie and so tiny.... you forget how small they are - especially when you are looking at a 9 year old boy every day! So it was straight out to the shops on Friday to indulge in a bot of 'pink' shopping and of course, I couldn't miss the opportunity to use my SWALK baby image, which , until now, had remained unstamped.

The card pictured is the result and it has now been delivered to the happy familywho have moved on from 4 to 5 members (and two dogs!!).

As for me - I'm going to indulge in some lovely cuddle time with Safiya, with the added joy of being able to hand her back and get a good night's sleep (unlike her mother!)

Bye for now.

Easter is coming......

.....so it's time to crack out those cute little Easter Bunnies form LOTV once again.

I thought it was time that I entered a few challenges again, and, LOTV have an Eastter themed challenge this week, I couldn't resist stamping up this little cutie and matching it with some freebie papers that came with a magazine, a while back.

So I'm going to enter this card for three challenges this week:

Lily of the Valley - Easter

Delicious Doodles - Anything goes

Cute Card Thursday - No sentiments.

Thanks for looking. I'm off to see if I can fit in a bit more card making this weekend....

A quick hello

Now that I am back from my holidays, I really need to get back in to the card making, but the jet lag, combined with the joys of going to work, has got the better of me this week! I could really d with one of my sister in law's delicious cup cakes to perk me up, but sadly I won't be seeing her until the weekend, so I will just have to make do with a cup of tea for now.

I have attached a picture of a card that I made before I went away, using a digi version of a lovely floral image from Little Claire's.

That's it for now, but I plan to get down to some card making over the weekend so hopefully should have something new to show you soon.

Keeping my fingers crossed for the continuation of this lovely summer weather - as that always helps!!

I'm back!!

You mayhave noticed that all has been quiet on my blog for the last few weeks.....well that's because I've been away on a fab holiday in Florida!

I have spent the last two weeks having a wonderful time at Disney World Florida with my hubby, son, parents and sister -enjoying 90 degrees of heat and lots of good old Disney fun.

Well here I am, back in the UK and up to my eyes in washing and ironing, so I thought I would take a little break and post a card that I made before I went on hols. This card was made for the Little Claire's challenge which was due to start the weekend after I left so I couldn't post it up before hand.

I made the plowerport by drawing a template and the filled in with flowers which I stamped, coloured and cut out individually using a set of Little Claire's flower stamps.

Hope you like the card. I'm off now to play with some new stamps which came in the post whilst I was away. Watch this space for previews of some lovely new releases coming up in May.

Thanks for looking.
