So it's on to the next challenge over a Passion for Promarkers and this week the theme is to use pastel colours.
I am definately a 'pastel' kind of girl, so I couldn't help but to be drawn to this weeks challenge, and here is my entry.
I made this card using the single elephant and rhino stamps which are available from Stamp Addicts. You may not think that they are particularly 'girly' but I think that they are cute enough to work in this case.
The backing papers and the alphabet letters are all from Crafters Compnanion CDs and the lacy edging is done with one of my lovely Martha Stewart border punches.
The guts over at Simon Says Stamp are also having an Anything Goes challenge this week, so I thought I would enter this card for that one too.
Thanks for looking.

I made the Top 5 Passionista!
I am so excited to have made it in to the Top 5 Passionista in the Passion for Promarkers blog, with one of my Stamp Addicts Cards using the Bat out of Hell stamp!
It was one of my crafty ambitions to be a winner on a prestigious blog and this one certainly qualifies in my book.
Here's the card that got me there, but you shouldreally pop over to the blog to see the other fantastic creations - you can find them here.
I just wanted to say thanks to the lovely crew at P for P, for picking me this week. You have really made my day!

I love Pippi Longsocks
Morning everyone! Well it's shaping up to be a lovely sunny day once again in our neck of the woods. I now have a bunch of snow drops blooming at the end of my garden and I always take this to mean that Spring is finally on it's way. And if that's not enough proof....I actually managed to get some washing dried on the line yesterday for the first time in months (how sad am I to get so excited about that!!!)
I also managed to fit in an enjoyable bit of time crafting yesterday, and this is what I came up with, using the adorable Pippi Longsocks from Sugar Nellie. For me this is one of those 'instant smile' images.....both cute and cheeky at the same time, and she's really easy to colour in too.
I've tried to keep this card fairly clean and simple. I found a scrap of blue card which was just the right size for the matting and then coloured Pippi to match, using my Promarkers of course! The polka dot embossong folder has been dusted off once again and the whole thing finished off with a scrap of Organza ribbon.
I'm going to enter this card in to a few challenges:
Allorts - Free and Easy February
Cute Card Thursday - Things With Wings
My Mums Craft Shop - Ribbons and Buttons
Secret Crafter - White on White
CES - Blues and Creams
Less is More - Don't Scrap It.
So that's me done for today. I hope you all have a lovely day and thanks for stopping by.

Flower Power
It's a very quick post today as there are only a couple of hours left on this week's Cute Card Thursday challenge, which happens to be 'Flower Power'.
I finally got round to finishing off a card which I started a few weeks ago, following a sketch from another challenge. I missed the boat on that one, but at least I will be able to enter it for one challenge if I get a move on!
Sorry that the picture is particularly rubbish (even by my standards!) but the weather is so gloomy round here today that I can't seem to get any decent light.
Anyhow, as you can see I have used a lovely LOTV image for this card, plus some papers that were lurking in my stash! The only trouble is that, playing around with this image just reminds me that LOTV had some gorgeous new releases out earlier this week.......I am still doing my best to resist the temptation!
Thanks for stopping by.

Some things really are as simple as black and white.......
The theme over at Passion for Promarkers this week is Black and White, so here is my attempt at a bit of monochormatic madness.
The stamp is Bat Out of Hell from Stamp Addicts and as you can see, I have stuck to various shades of black and grey to colour him in.
As for the backing papers - I didn't have any with musical notes so I took the plunge and drew it myself.....hope you like it!
I'm going to enter this card for these challenges:
Passion for Promarkers - Black and White (of course!)
Allsorts - Free and Easy February
One Stop Craft - Create your own background.
Thanks for visiting once again!

Totally Twins
Well I am pleased to say that I managed to get my 'Twins' new baby card finished this weekend, and here it is.......
This was the perfect opportunity to dig in to my Humphrey stamps once again, and this time I stamped out the elephant twice for the boy and girl twins.
I also had to adapt the senitment by adding an 's' - hopefully I got away with it!
I'm entering this in to a couple of challenges:
Crafter's Companion - Anything Goes
CES - Spots and Dots (it's hard to see but the backing paper is spotty, as well as the dotty embossing on the top.
Thanks for looking.

All washed out........
That's what I would call this card if it had a title!
Here's a card that I made using the Cats and Dustbin set which Stamp Addicts released late last year.
I am going to enter tihs card in to a few challenges for the following reasons:
Allsorts Challenge - Anything Goes.......speaks for itself I think!
I love Promarkers - Nature.....well cats are part of nature I hope!
One Stop Craft - Create your own backgrounds - I stamped the fishy background and on the main image I drew the washing line and distressed the sky and grass plus a little bit of stamping with my sticks and stubbies.
Passion for Proamrkers - distressing......does my sky and grass count as distressing? It was done with distress inks so I hope that counts :o)
That's it from me today. On to my next challenge....creating a new baby card for twins.....watch this space!
Thanks for stopping by.

Wot no Stamping??
I feel like a bit of a cheat when I don't put a stamped image on one of my cards.....I don't know why as decoupage is still craft after all and it's a nice relaxing alternative when you don't necessarily have the concentration to sit and colour.
I have some lovely CDs in my collection and this card comes from a lovely Joanna Sheen CD, called Messy Rabbit.
I love this CD as it has tonnes of characters and images, so it's perfect for when you are looking for something to fit a person or occasion, and you just don't have the right stamps.
This was a get well card that I made for my dad, after he was recovering from an operation. Somehow, I didn't think a cuddly Popcorn bear in bed would quite fit the bill, so I thought this would be just right.
Check out the newspaper backing paper, also from the CD....I really like it!
That's all from me today.
Thanks for stopping by.

Trying to get back in to the habit of posting......
As you know, I haven't managed to make regular posts lately......mostly because I am cross eyed after a day of working at a computer at work!
So today, rather than just browsing, I thought I would do a quick little post, to show that I am still alive and kicking!
Here's a card that I made using stamps from the Gorilla set, available from Stamp Addicts. It's coloured in Promarkers as per usual, and the backing papers were printed from one of my Crafters Companion CDs - the 'Boys' one if I remember rightly.
Colouring this cheeky chappy certainly makes me smile - I think it's his face with those cheeks all puffed out!
Anyhow, I'm going to enter this in to one challenge which is Allsorts , Anything Goes.
That's all for now.
Thanks for looking.

Valentines Card Number 2
And here is Valentines card number two, for my husband.
Once again I have used the lovely Strawberry Kisses range .....I think this image is just so lovely. It comes with a sentiment that says 'You and Me Forever Babe' but since we're not really 'babe' kind of people, I picked the 'Together Forever' sentiment from one of the other sets and put it on the inside of the card.
Once again....a bunch of challenges to enter:

That me done for today......I have a load of less than romantic ironing to be getting on with now!!
Thanks for visiting and hope to see you back again soon.

Valentines Card number 1 and a bunch of challenges
Well I am quite pleased with myself as I have managed to get both of my Valentines cards (one for hubby and one for son in case you were wondering!).
It is not unknown for me to be working on a card at 11pm on the day before the event, so, all things considered I am really quite organised!
Here is the first card that I made, following a sketch from the Sweet Stop Challenge and using the papers and one of the stamps from the gorgeous Strawberry Kisses range.

Off with the fairies.....
I certainlly feel like I have been away with the fairies this week, as I have been working really hard and very busy at home.
I had planned to make a card to enter for a few challenges and I managed to get that done at the weekend, but, due to the general pace of things this week, it's taken till now for me to find the time to post it!

For this card I have followed a sketch on this week's CES challenge which also has a theme of fairies, and that gave me the perfect opportunity to dust of this gorgeous LOTV stamp.
As it happens, there are quite a few challenges that I can enter this card in and these are as follows:
So that's one card under my belt....a few more challenges ahead for the weekend though:
Two valentines cards - one each for my husband and son
A new baby twins card - for my friend who nearly gave birth this week but will now be having a C Section on Monday.
Hmmm - looks like it's going to be a busy weekend too!!
Thanks for stopping by.

Something a little traditional
Here's something a little different from me as it's definitely more on the traditional side than my normal cards. The flowers that you can see are from the Stamp Addicts etched flowers range and this was one of my DT projects.
I am not very green fingered so I have no idea what these flowers are but, as you can see, I have used one of the flowers to create the background paper, and stamped the main image on to water colour card, coloured it with my Derwent pencils, cut out and decoupaged for a raised effect.
I have made quite a few cards using these stamps, and it has been fun to try out something a little different, so I will have a few more cards to post using these images in the weeks to come.
I'm goingto enter this card in to the following 'Anything Goes' challenges:
Catch the Bug
Allsorts
Looking at my blog list I have spotted some lovely Fairy challenges which I am itching to have a go at.....so lets hope for some snow overnight so I have a good excuse to stay in and craft tomorrow!
Bye for now

Some one's 'bin' up to no good!
A quick post today to show you a card made with the Cat stamps which were released by Stamp Addicts a few months back.
I've kept this card really simple, using chocolate brown and beige Bazill cardstock for the background, and I have stamped the cardboard 'ribbons' with the fish bone stamp for a little bit of embellishment.
Everything has been coloured in promarkers as per usual, with a little bit of cutting and layering to add a little depth.
Thanks for stopping by.

Magnificent Mario Cakes
A quick post to show you all some pickies of the gorgeous cupcakes that my talented Sister In Law made for Joshua's birthday.
Aren't they brilliant!
As you can see, they are all based on Super Mario and my SIL made each of those lovely toppers by hand, not to mention the gorgeous cakes underneath!
And the best part of it is, that there are still a few of these beauties still waiting to be eaten.....mmmmmmmm!!!!
