Another Wedding Card

It seems that my theme for the weekend must be weddings as I am posting a wedding card for the second day in a row.

This time my card was made using a lovely digi stamp from Bugaboo, which I printed 3 times and decoupaged for a bit of depth. I have also dragged out my nests and a gorgeous embossing folder from Crafters Companion and I have added a sprinkling of glitter as it is a special occasion.

Finally I made sure to use colours to match the wedding invitations so it would fit with the colour theme for the wedding.

Once again, there are a few challenges that I would like to enter:

Stamp Addicts Gold Congrats card - champagne glasses

My first post of the day, and this time it's a quick one to show a card that I made for Stamp Addicts sometime ago using their congratulations set. All the elements that you see on the card were included in the set, plus some smaller glasses as well. I decided to get my sparkle embossing powder and my heat gun out for this card and made a simple wedding congrats card…but you could easily take away the ring and use the rest of the elements for graduations or any other celebrations.

Here are some challenges that I would like to enter today:

Humphrey and Reindeer card - Christmas in July.

How ironic to be sitting her on the hottest day of the year so far, literally melting and posting a Christmas card!
However, it being July and past the half way point in the year, our crafty minds do tend to start looking towards Christmas because we need lots of time to get our mojo going.

So here's a card that I put together using some very traditional Christmas colours. The papers that you see are digital ones from Bearly Mine and of course Humphrey is from Crafters Companion.

It took a little while to colour this one as there are quite a lot of elements and colour changes involved, but it is well worth the effort as the final image is just adorable.

Plus, this colour combination also gave me the opportunity to use some of my "ho ho ho'" ribbon which  I had been 'saving' for some reason…ever since I bought it about three years ago!

So there are a lot of Christmas challenges around this week, and here are a few that I would like to enter:

No stamping but lots of pretty papers.

Hi there everyone. This morning I thought I would post a 'non stamping' card for a change so here is something I made using the lovely 'Just Ducky' FQB range from NitWits…one of my favourite digital companies.

Everything that you see on this example, apart from the green matting card, is from the NitWits set, and the beauty of that, of course, is that everything matches just perfectly  :-)

I actually made this card for easter but, as with everything else in life, my best laid plans turned in to a last minute panic and I didn't have time to make a whole batch of stamped cards.

So I grabbed my PC, jumped in to Serif, and hey presto - all the ingredients for a 6x6 cards fitted neatly on to a couple of pages. I printed the duck three times so I could make him stand out a bit, and he was really easy to cut out which made the whole process nice and relaxing!

I am going to enter a few challenges with this card and here they are:

I remember doing this!

I think there cannot be too many girls in the world who did not dress up and shuffle about in their mum's shoes when they were little……I know I definitely liked to try on my mum's shoes and dream of when I would e big enough to have high heels of my own!

For me this Angelica and Friends stamp is just the perfect image to take you back to the carefree days of a life without responsibility!

So, as you can see I have added a few girly embellishments to this card too - pearls, a flower and some ribbon, I have have gone for a very different colour scheme to my usual and that all seemed around the orange backing paper that you can see. This actually came from a Wild Rose Studio Milton pad which I love. i had originally torn the paper out to use for something else, but didn't in the end, so I decided to go outside of the box and use it on this card instead.

The polka dot paper came from a scrap from a Polka Doodles Cd, and the blue just happens to match the tiny flower centres on the orange paper.

After that it was just a case of finding the right Spectrum Noir colours to match and there you have it!

So - I would like to enter some challenges today and these are as follows:

Happy blogging!

The Heat is On - at Crafty Little Fairies

Time for a new monthly challenge at Crafty Little Fairies today and this time the theme is Summer.

Apparently it is the hottest day of the year , so far, today - so we couldn't have picked a better dy to launch our new challenge.

For my card I have dug deep in to my old stash and found this great 'Diva' stampp from Joanna Sheen which, I think, is just perfect for a bit of flat colouring…….when you want to colour but don't want to faff  around with shading!

It's also unusual for me to add sentiments to my cards, but I just had to add this one as it just says it all really. Now that the summer is coming along we really want those weekends to last don't we?

There are lots of summer related posts over at the Crafty Little Fairies blog with a surprising range of themes, so it is well worth a little look for some gorgeous inspiration.

Meanwhile, I am going to enter in to some other great challenges as usual, and here they all are:
