Easter bunny round cards

It's a little bit early for easter I know, but having been to my local supermarket and seen all those lovely eggs on display I guess it has really put me in the mood.....and I think this is a much more healthy way to deal with my Easter hankerings!

Although they are very similar, these are actually 4 separate cards, all made from a cute little Easter Bunny stamp that I got from Digistamp Boutique last year.

I wanted to keep these really simple and cheery, so I coloured the rabbits in simply, with no shading and I die but the backing cards using a circular scalloped nestie.  Also, as you have probably guessed, the circular mats are also made from die cut circles....very quick and simple.

I know that there's a away to cut your dies with the images protruding but that was a bit too technical for me, so I simply cut the little bunnies out and put them where I wanted them. Add a nice now with the aid of my super sticky tape and Bob's your Uncle.

Of course I probably wouldn't be posting mid week unless I had some challenges to enter, so here goes:
Cute Card Thursday - Simplify
Totally Papercrafts - Hope for Spring
One Stop Craft - For the Kids
Allsorts - Animals
Gem of a Challenge - Dies
Created with Love - Bright and Cheery
Cupcake Craft - Shaped Cards
Promarker Challenge - Circle Cards
Bearly Mine - Anything Goes
Make it Monday

That's all for me now....need to pay attention to the dinner now, before I burn it!!

Thanks for stopping by.

Fairies come in all shapes and sizes

This fairy may be no Tinkerbell, but she sure is cute!

I made this card for a friend of mine who has twins (a boy and a girl) who have just turned one year old. This one is for the little girl, of course and I was so pleased to have the opportunity to indulge my whimsy girly side.

I used most of the stamps in the set for this one, including the cute little sentiment...I just love the wobbly handwriting look.

Apart from that, I've kept this one really simple, focussing on the image and of course, adding a bit of glitter......after all , fairies do need their fairy dust don't they?

Here are the lovely challenges that I would like to enter with this card...
Inky Chicks - Mothers Day or Birthday
Passion for Promarkers - Princess with a Crown
Stamp n Doodle - Anything Goes
The Paper Shelter - Celebrations
I Love Promarkers - Four Legged Friends
Cute Card Thursday - Simplfy
One Stop Craft - For the Kids
Allsorts - Animals
Squirrel and Fox - Fairytale or Fantasy
Make in Monday

That's all for me. I'm hoping to get a little more colouring time in tonight.....fingers crossed!

Sunday Sweetness

Well I can't believe it's Sunday evening once again! It has been a busy weekend as per usual but I am pleased to say that I have managed to tick some boxes on my 'gotta do this sometime' list AND I have managed to find a bit of time for card making too!

I have had some real quality time with my colouring in this weekend and here is one of the results, using a gorgeous Lili of the Valley Stamp from my stash.

I have tried to experiment with some different colour combinations this weekend and I am really pleased with this lilac and yellow look, plus I have been very good in that I used some of my old scraps of card and paper as well.......let's just call that my feeble attempt at Spring Cleaning my craft stash!!

My perfectly formed bow is the result of a bit of cosmetic surgery using staples and super sticky tape....I have to do it that way as I could never tie a bow like this myself.....buts let's just keep that our little secret.

I would like to enter quite a few challenges today, and here they are:
Tiddly Inks - Little Critters
Inky Chicks - Mothers Day or Birthday
Bearly Mine - Ribbon
Stamp n Doodle - Anything Goes
I Love Promarkers - 4 Legged Friends
Cute Card Thursday - Simplify
Totally Papercrafts - Hope for Spring
Allsorts - Animals
Make it Monday

Well that's all for this post. Back later with something a little brighter :o)

Teddy Bear's Picnic

well I've been meaning to post for a few days now but, what with one thing and another, I just haven't got around to it.........so here I am at 10.30 pm, determined to get a post on!

This is a card that I made for Stamp Addicts, using some of their lovely bear stamps. They each come separately, but I think that they go beautifully together.

I had some lovely Nitwits digital paper, which I thought looked a bit like a picnic blanket and hence this little card idea was born.

As you can see, I have used my staple...the Nitwits sky paper once again, to make the back of the easel, but I have resolved to myself that I really must make an effort to do my own sky on some of my images as I have watched a tutorial on sponging clouds using distress inks and I really want to have a go now!!

Anyway, back to this card. I have coloured the bears 'flat' style with my promarkers and cut them out so that they can be used as the stoppers for the easel.

That's all I can say about this one really, other than I would like to enter the following challenges:

Make it Monday
Stamping Sensations - Fur and Feathers
Cutie Pie Challenge - Pretty Pastels
I Love Promarkers - 4 legged friends
Stamp n Doodle - Anything Goes

That's all for me today.

Thanks for stopping by.

Thank you owls

As it was my son's birthday recently, I wanted to make some nice tank you cards for friends and family, but obviously it couldn't be anything too time consuming.

So here are some of the cards that I made using some of my cute little owl stamps, coloured in with alcohol pens, and a fine black marker pen for the doodling.

They were really quick and simple to do.......the hardest part was getting my son to write in them........he's not a big fan of writing!!

So I thought I would enter a few quick challenges for this one, and here they are.....

Thanks for dropping by today.

Have a Heart

Today my heart is pounding, but for all the wrong reasons......I think I have picked up a bot of a virus and my heart is going like the clappers! Never mind, I've got all of my essential jobs out of the way for today so I'm sitting down with a lemsip and taking a moment to add a little post to my blog.

Hearts still feature though as this is another card that I made with the lovely new heart stamp from Stamp Addicts.

This one is really simple as I stamped the heart 3 times with distress ink and cut one of them out so that I could decoupage it. A bit of matting and a little bow.......done!

So now time to enter this card in to a few of the lovely challenges that are out there:

Make it Monday
Allsorts - Valentines
Cutie Pie - Valentines
Bearly Mine - Anything Goes
Papertake - Anything Goes
Cute Card Thursday - Love Struck
My time to Craft - Decoupage
One Stop Craft - Love is in the Air
Natalie and AMy - Something Old / Something New

Thanks for stopping by today.

Saturday Sketch and other challenges

Well this weekend  I am amazed to say that I actually managed to put a little time aside for some crafting.....mostly because I needed to make some thank you cards for my son who has just had his birthday.

I thought that this little skater boy from Pink Gem would be just perfect for a boy card, so I was temporarily diverted from my main task, so that I could put this card together and enter a few challenges at the same time.

Believe it or not, the papers are from a Do Crafts Christmas set, but I think, once you take away the matching 'snowflake' sheet, they work for any time of year.

The cute little boy is a polymer stamp but I am pretty sure you can also pick him up in digital format these days too. He's coloured in with Spectrum Noirs and I have done something a little different by cutting him out and mounting him on to the striped paper, which I hope works OK!

Well I think that's about all I have say on this one, other than entering it in to the following challenges.

Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes
Make it Monday
Sketch Saturday
One Stop Craft - Anything Goes
Allsorts - Lets Get Cute   boys can be cute too right???
Catch the Bug - Anything Goes
Gem of a Challange - Checks or Gingham

Well that's all for me today.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you all have a good week ahead.
