Oh to be an Ice Queen!
Well it is remarkably chilly in my part of the world at the moment...lots of frosty morning and beautiful views across the fields if you have the time to stop and look (often not the case for me as I am fighting my way across town on the school run!)
But with all this frostiness I thought this card would be a very appropriate post for today as the lovely Lacy Sunshine character looks like a true Ice Maiden.....infact I think her real name is Ice Enchantress, but don't quote me on that!
This card is quite sizeable at 8 x 8 inches and I have printed off one of my MANY snowflake orientated digital papers to use for matting. I then coloured my character in using Promarkers in matching colours.
The beautiful bubbles that you can see in the background are from "stamps by Chloe' and I have used a WOW powder to emboss them.
Finally I couldn't resist adding a bit of silver glitter to add to the sparkle!
I hope you like my card for today....maybe I will need to do something tropical for next time!
Bye for now.

Fab n Funky Buttons or Bows
A quick post today!
We have a brand new challenge over at Fab n Funky, and this week Judith has chosen the theme of Buttons or Bows.
We are sponsored by Sticthy Bears this week and they kindly supplied me with this very cute image, which I printed out on to some lovely patterned papers and created my design using paper piecing with just a touch of beige pen.
Can you spot my little buttons? They are faux ones, made of paper. :-)
Thanks for visiting today, and I hope yoyu will join us for our challenge.

Bags of Fun
It is not often that I make bags but I really should do it more often as a lovely gift bag is very satisfying to make!
For this bag I started with a basic white paper bag and matted it with century pearl card which I had previously embossed.
The scalloped circle that you can see came from a card companion print on the Scruffy Little Kitten CD, as did the faux button which you can see on the handle.
Next - on to my very cute image - also scruffy little kitten. Her lovely scruffy hair was so easy to colour - just lots of streaks in contrasting shade of brown, and before you know it, her hair was done. Her lovely outfit was coloured in shades of purple and lilac to match the background, ad I managed to find a scrap of lace to finish the whole thing off.
So that's a very quick post from me today. I hope you like this adorable little character - you can find her at Crafters Companion.
Thanks for stopping by.

Thinking of Spring
Well it's been another rainy day here in the UK, but there was a sort period of time when the sun came out for a while, so I took the opportunity to go out for a bit of a walk without getting soaked!
Imagine my surprise when I looked up at the tress and saw little leaf buds appearing already. :-)
The next thing to look out for will be the Snowdrops and then we will know that Spring is truly on the way.
With that in mind, I decided to blog a Spring card today, and this lovely image by Sherri Baldi is just the job.
I dug out some old Forever Friends papers by Docrafts and used them as the basis for my colour scheme.
Finally, I couldn't resist adding a little bit of sparkle ad pearls!
I hope you like my card for today and hope you will come back to visit again soon.

Something New at Fab N Funky
It's time for the first challenge of the year over at Fab n Funky and this week the theme is 'Something New'. This could be a card celebrating something new, or even using something new from your stash.
I have opted for 'New Home' and created this card using some fabulous Polkadoodles stamps.
This was a very simple card to make and adding the extra shrubbery and fencing as a back drop seemed to stop the houses from floating! As you can see, I decoupaged the middle house just to add a bit of a pop.
So that's my card for the challenge. I hope you will come over and share your own 'Something New' with us.
Also, look out for an announcement this weekend, giving details of our new DT members who are all fantastic crafters and are going to provide lots of great inspiration for us all in the coming year.
Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you will visit again soon.

Polka doodles Frosted Octavia in Pencils
Welcome to my very first post of 2016, and a very Happy New Year to all of my followers!
Today I thought I would post something slightly Christmassy, but really more 'winterish', in the form of this gorgeous Octavia dig stamp and a stunning background - both from the Octavia Frosted CD.
I decided to be brave with my pencils this time around, using Lyras, which have emerged from my craft cupboard after having been bought quite a few years ago now.
I am not the best at pencil colouring and would love to see some tutorials on You Tube or the like to help with my technique, but I guess, like everything else, it's all about practice, practice, practice.
The challenges are starting up again, now that the New Year is here, so here are some that I would like to enter:
