Hi there,
We have a new challenge over at Cute Card Thursday, and this week we are sponsored by Bugaboo stamps. Our theme is anything goes, so this week I decided to do a little Christmas preparation, using this lovely Christmas tree image for Bugaboo.
I love how all the tress are in a row, and they are really fun to colour as each one is just a little different. I used my Spectrum Noirs to colour these in, and you can see the list below.
Look forward to seeing you over at Cute Card Thursday.

Delighted to be a Guest DT at Christmas with the Cuties this month!
Hi there. I was absolutely delighted to be asked to join the Christmas with the Cuties team as a guest DT this month. As you can imagine Cuteness and Christmas tick all my boxes so I felt like a kid in a sweet shop!!
I was given this lovely image from Papernest Dolls to play with and I had a lovely time colouring it in with my Spectrum Noirs, plus a little help from my Faber Castell pencils for the hair.
Unusually for me I went with fairly traditional colours, and the old die cutting machine got a good work out too. The card based and mats were all made from the a Spellbinders giant nesting die and the holly comes from the new White Christmas range at Tattered Lace.
So, my final world is to say thank you very much to Lisa and the rest of the Cuties DT for making me so welcome this month, and letting me join in the fun on both the Cutie Pie and the Christmas with Cuties challenges this month!
Bye for now.

Surfing on the Net
It's challenge time once again at Colour Crazy and this time we are sponsored by the wonderful Lemon Shortbread company.
Whilst the theme is always 'Anything Goes' for our participants, here on the DT we are adopting a Surfer theme this week, and between us we have been playing with boy and girl surfer images.
I picked the little girl, as I thought that would be a little out of the ordinary!
This image comes with the lovely background that you see, so I set to work colouring everything in, in flat colour, using my Spectrum Noir pens. But then I thought it looked a little too flat, so I went over the top with my Faber Castell pencils to add some depth, and also to make the surfboard look like it had some wood grain showing through (even though it is red!).
I then created a frame for my card using teal card, and this frame actually sits over the top of the design paper for a change so it is a little different.
I also decoupaged the little girl and her board, to make her a bit more prominent. If you look closely you might be able to see the shadows. :-)
Thanks very much for visiting today, and I look forward to seeing you over at Colour Crazy this week.
Bye for now.

Patterned papers at Fab n Funky
Hi there. It's my turn to host the challenge over at Fab n Funky this week, and I have chosen a nice easy theme - use a patterned paper.
We are sponsored by Lia Stamps this week, who kindly provided us with this gorgeous little girl to play with. I think she is just adorable.
I coloured my little girl in with my Spectrum Noir pens and then added Polychromos pencil over the top to add some shading. This is a technique that I have only recently started to use, and I really like it. For examples the deep shadows in the folds of the skirt are made with a grey pencil and the highlights in her hair are with white pencil.
I found some lovely papers in my stash - they are Tilly Daydream by Do Crafts, and, as you can see they have some beautiful patchwork papers and a coordinating apple paper - so I made sure to colour my little girl to match. In the end I am feeling like it is a little bit of a harvest festival type theme.
So that's my card for today. Hope you like it and that you will come and share some of your much loved patterned papers over at Fab n Funky this week.
Bye for now.

Guest DT at The Cutie Pies
I am delighted that I was recently asked, by the lovely Lisa, to be a guest DT at The Cutie Pies challenge!
They are midway through their challenge this week, which has a theme of 'Here Come the Girls' and is sponsored by Crafty Sentiments who do indeed have the cutest little images.
So here is what I created for the challenge:
I wanted my little cutie to be relaxing in her beautiful bathroom and feeling pampered, so I have created this 3d card to give that effect. I'm not sure what you call this style of card, but I had seen some examples made this way recently, and thought I would give it a go.
For my little girl, I printed her twice and coloured her with Spectrum Noirs, before decoupaging the shower cap , the bath and some of the bubbles to add some lift. The towels and loofah were also part of the image, and make some nice accessories.
So - I hope you like my card today and that you will join in with the fun over at The Cutie Pies.
Thanks very much to Lisa and the team for letting me join in with the fun!

A match made in heaven
And that match would be Cute Card Thursday and All Dressed Up digital stamps!
This week, at Cute Card Thursday, we are very lucky to be sponsored once again by All Dressed Up.
As you may know, this is one of my digital designers of choice, so I was very happy to have an excuse to spend some time colouring in this lovely little lady using my Spectrum Colourblend pencils.
As per usual, I have chosen my papers before I coloured my image and I settled on some gorgeous 6x6 papers from Wild Rose Studio, called dancing daisies. So here is my finished card.....
Our theme this week is ribbons and bows, but I decided to 'think out of the box' a bit this time, and I have gone for a faux ribbon effect with my daisy die cut border and my stripey paper. 😉
So - that's my card for this week. I hope you will come and join us over at Cute Card Thursday. We love to see what you have made.
Bye for now and thanks for visiting!

Little Boys and Little Girls at Fab n Funky
It's time for a brand new challenge at Fab n Funky and this week we have a theme of Little Boys and Little Girls, sponsored by Pink Gem designs.
I have loved these little characters for a very long time, so it was lovely to dig out one of my stamps and play with it again.
I love the simplicity and innocence of these images, so I decided to colour this image very simply, without shading, to maintain that innocent appearance.
I have used a fantastic Tonic die set yo make my shaped card and I have found some old papers in may stash to mat and layer (they were woodland papers from Do Crafts but sadly I don't think you can get them any more.)
So that's my card for today.
Thanks so much for visiting, and I hope you will come and join in the fun over at Fab n Funky this week.
