Getting Girly at Fab n Funky

It's time for a new challenge at Fab n Funky and this time we are going 'girly' with one of our lovely new sponsors Whoopsi Daisy who create lots of lovely digital stamps, which you can find our their Etsy store right here.

I have used this lovely parasol, which I coloured with Prismacolour pencils and paired up with some girly delicate papers.

I hope you will come and join us over at Fab n Funky this week.

Bye for now.

New Year New Challenge at Colour Crazy

Well we have our first challenge of the year for Colour Crazy and, as always our theme is Anything Goes.

I decided to delve right back in to the past with a gorgeous SWALK image for my colouring, and I am glad I did as I loved every minute of colouring this little cutie.

I used my Spectrum Noirs to colour her, and they are just perfect for the job, as the style of these stamps gives to lots of opportunities from blending and shading.

My paper was something I had found in my stash, and I picked that first so that I could get the best match colourwise.

And finally - I love the sentiment - just perfect for someone who is down on their luck and needs a little boost.

So that's my card for today. I hope you will come and join us over at Colour Crazy this week - we always love to see your creations.

Bye for now!

A new year brings new opportunities...

Well -  sad to say I have been a terrible blogger recently, but I think I needed a little break from blogging so I could focus on creativity.

Thank you to all of my followers who have stuck with me - I really do appreciate you all!!

Sp of course it has been a busy time, crafting wise, what with Christmas and all...and yes I was still finishing off family Christmas cards on Christmas Eve (oh the shame!).

As always, I have promised myself to be better organised this year....I guess only time will tell on that one!

Meanwhile, I have some very exciting news in that the lovely Donna Ratcliff and Sheena Douglass have asked me to join their design team - so i am now officially one of Sheena's inkoids!!

It was all a bit of a fairy tale for me, in that I was lucky enough to go on one of Sheena and Donna's craft days near where I live. I had an absolute ball, so if anything is thinking of going on these days just go for it - you will love it! Anyway, as the day went on, we got chatting as you do, and talking about what DTs we were involved with and so on.

So after a lovely day, I went home, having had a lovely day, and thought no more of it.......until I got a facebook message from Donna.....and the rest, as they say is history.

So, with the start of the new year, I am very excited to see what is to come in terms of this  new challenge, and also to continue on with the other lovely blog DTs that i am so happy to be a part of:

So, if you are looking for a little light hearted crafty fun this year, please come and visit any one of these lovely blogs, for lots of inspiration and the chance to win some crafty prizes!

Finally, a quick mention about my card for today - in honour of the lovely Sheena crew, who have welcomed me so warmly, here is a card made using Sheena's beautiful Iris stamp which was released last year, coloured with Spectrum Aquas on watercolour paper.

Hope you like it, and thanks for taking the time to read all of my waffle today!

Bye for now.
