I wanted to do something a bit dimesional this time so I've opted for and arched stepped card which you can make fairly easily from a pice of A4 card stock.
All you need to do is draw an arc with a compass at the top of your card stock and then cut straight lines all the way down to the bottom of the card so that you end up with something looking like a really long arched window. Once this is done you can score lines across at the bottom end to make as many steps as you want to. Then, to get the papers to fit perfectly, I simply used the compass on the same setting to draw semi circes on the grass paper and cut if the edges in the same way. I then reduced the radius of the compass to cut the sky paper which gives a lovely and perfectly formed border when you mat it on to the card stock.
The papers I used were from NitWits (I am sooooo into them now!). The sky was from the Just Hatched range and I have to say I think this is going to become one of my staple papers. The flowery grass was from the Petal Pixies range (I think!!)
And now to the stamps...... I have got a bit of everything here. The dogs are 'Fetch' and 'Woof' from the acrylic stamp range, and the kennel is from their digi stamp range which had the added bonus os being re-sizeable so I could get it just right.
Oh - and not forgetting of course, it was lovingly coloured with my beloved Pro Markers!
Finally, I thought I would enter this card in to the Passion For Pro Markers Challenge, which is 'All the Twos'. The twos are:
- Two dogs
- Two types of images (digi and acrylic)
- Two types of paper
I hope that you anjoy looking at this card as much as I enjoyed making it!
