Better late than not at all!

Oh dear - I am late for my post for this week's Fab n Funky challenge. Somehow I had got it in to my head that this one was going live next Wednesday!

Not to worry though - you still have a couple of days to enter and this week's theme is Boys to Men, sponsored by Doctor Digi.

Those of you in the UK will know that we had Father's Day last weekend, so the timing of this challenge couldn't have been better. I used this fab Doctor Digi golfer dig image to make this card for my dad who is a keen golfer.......but...I must stress......is not this shape!!!

Odella and her bag

I am back today with a gorgeous stamp from Polkadoodles called Odella With Bag. I just love the Odella range because they are just a little bit quirky and not too cutesie (well you can't do cute all the time can you?

I decided to colour her in with pencils this tie, and I have gone with the fabulous Spectrum Noir pencils and blending fluid / paper stumps.

I find this to be a really forgiving method of colouring as that blending solution softens and mixes, getting rid of a whole lot of 'oops' moments!

I'm All a Flutter for You!

Hi everyone. Finally the weekend is here, and my first treat of the day is to allow myself some blog time!!

Today I'm posting a card using Crafters Companion Sparkle Pens and the companion stamps. Thanks to my rubbish photography skills you can't see any of the sparkle, but trust me, when I say it is there!

Everything you see was coloured in with 'neat' sparkle pen in some lovely pastel colours. One tip to remember is to always stamp with Stayzon or Versafine when using these pens as they are water based and will bleed with other ink pads.

I have added some faux stitching with a fine liner pen before attaching to my rocker card, which was die cut using a Tattered Lace die on ceusitful Centura Pearl card.

The great outdoors

Hi there. I am back today with one of my Digi Stamp Boutique buddies, down as Alf.

With Father's Day fast approaching, it seemed that I should post a male orientated card for a change and who better than this cheerful chap?

I have teamed him up lithesome lovely NitWits digital paper and even managed to throw a little piece of embossed Core-dinations card in there too.

I think that, as far as male cards go, I think I have managed to get away with bright and cheery, as well as throwing in plenty of flowers too.

So -a very quick post today....but I hope you liked it.

Choose your favourite colour combination with Fab n Funky.

It's a time for a new challenge at Fab n Funky this week and this time it is my turn to host it, so I have chosen the theme of 'Use Your Favourite Colour Combination'.

As you can see, I have used one of their lovely images on my card. :-)

Now I change my favourite colour combinations all the time, but one that I always come back to is good old pink and blue. I had a lovely backing paper that used these colours so I coloured in my Sassy cake lady using Prismacolour pencils to match.

I have kept the layout nice and simple to keep the focus on the lovely image.
