Wild Flowers

Morning all, Well it seemes like our short lived Spring has come to and end as that lovely bright sunshine and blue sky has been replaced with grey cloud and I am reliably informed by my husband that it's bloomin' freezing outside!! Here's a quick card using a lovely new stamp that's coming your way from Little Claire's. I found the paper on my Flower Fairies in the Garden CD and I think it matches quite well. I used a digi version of the stamp here which meant that I could resize it, so I am not sure what size the actual stamp is, but I think it would make lovely notelets. Also, just a quick heads up to let you know that there's Little Claire's show coming up on 7th April on Create and Craft so watch out for that! Thanks for looking. Sharon x

Can't stop cutting out flowers!

Hi all
Since posting my Mouse and Flowers card the other day, I seem to find theneed to keep colouring and cutting out flowers! Although some people would find it frustrating, I seem to find it quite theraputic, and following on the from lovely weather we had yesterday, I felt inspired to do something a bit 'Spring' like. As a result of this, yours truly was up till midnight last night theraputically cutting out flowers!
And here is one of the results of my labours (the other is for a future challenge so I can't show it just yet!). The flowers are all from the Little Claire's floral set and the stamp is a Wild Rose Studios Cherry Cupcake stamp - isn't she cute??
I have edged the card base with some blue and green distress inks to give a hint of colour as I wanted the various coloured images to pop.
For once, I have remembered to jot down the numbers of the Copic markers that I used, so here goes.....
Skin - E50, E51 and R32 for cheeks
Hair - E31, E35 andE37
Flowers - Y08, RV10, RV04, RV02, B12, B23
Dress and leaves - YG03, YG23 and YG11
Well, looking out of the window now it looks like Spring has been and gone as we are back to the grey clouds today. Oh well, at least I still have my card to remind me that itreally was Spring once!
Thanks for looking.

Flower power!

I thought I would do a quick post to showcase a lovely Little Claire's stamp which is really versatile and has the added bonus of being very quick and easy to colour in, for those 'need a card in a hurry' moments.

I have to confess that this one did take a little longer as I stamped , coloured and cut out all the flowers in the circle, but I think that the final result was well worth the effort. The surrounding flowers were actually from a Patchwork Polly set by Crafter's Companion but I think they match pretty well with the background paper (which I printed off a CD a while back and, unfortunately have no idea where I found it.)

The mouse and flowers have all been coloured with promarkers, as per usual!

Just love these dogs!

I thought I would show you a card out of the archives today, as it's one that I made some while back.

The little dog on the left was one of the new releases at Little Claire's, late last year, and, as you can see, he matches perfectly with the other dogs that were already in the range.

The two dogs are coloured with promarkers as per usual, and I made the background using my ever faithful Stamps by Judith.

That's all for me today as we're off over to my in laws shortly.

Thanks for looking.

It's challenge time again!

I can't believe a month has passed since the first Little Claire's challenge was launched, and here we are at the start of challenge number two - the them of which is flowers.

The first challenge was such a success that the LC team have decided to do a challenge fortnightly instead, so even more chance to win some lovely prizes!

Anyway, here's my example for the flower challenge which is made using the Lily and the Flower Flourish which can be found at their website. There are two firsts for me on this card. One is, that it's my first attempt at an offset easel, and the other is, that the scalloped squares were cut with my Cricut machine, which I haven't had much chance to play with so far. My DT buddy Lisa made a lovely card with her new Cricut machine recently which inspired me to get mine out and have a play around - so thanks for that Lisa!

I hope you will pop iver to the Little CLaire's blog and have a look at all the lovely creations on display, and maybe have a go at the challenge yourself!

Thanks for looking!
