Hi there, I am back with a card this morning, which features a Sheena Douglas stamp, which was released a while back. For me this image makes you think that sometimes you just need to get out of the rat race, stop for a moment, look around and remember what's important!
May be I am reading too much in to it, but there you are!!
I stamped my guy on to water colour card and coloured him in using Spectrum AquaBlend pencils and good old water. As is Sheena's style she has left clues where the shading should be and, in the end I have ended up with a very rustic look.
The lovely leaves are from the same stamp set and, again, they are stamped in to water colour card, coloured with two shades of green and cut out. Very simple to do, and the end result s very natural looking I think. It sounds a bit weird, but I think the leaves are my favourite bit on this card.
So, I hope you like my card today, and that you will also have a chance to 'step back' this weekend!
Thanks for visiting.

ReplyDeleteThe guy on your card does look very deep in thought Sharon. I often take my little Granddaughter to a local park where there is a Rose garden and whenever I'm there, I always think of the quote 'Take time to smell the Roses' and I always do. We all have such busy lives and it's good to sometimes just stop and reflect, so I know where you're coming from. I love how you've framed the card with the leaves, they look wonderful. Crafty hugs, Sandra X
