All dressed up pink and blue girl with Spectrum Blendables

I thought that, here in the UK, we needed a little reminder that Spring is coming so I am back today with this little cutie from All Dressed Up. I thought the butterflies and flowers would make me feel more Spring like, rather than the dark, cold and damp weather that I am seeing out of my window right now!

My lovely little girl was coloured using my Spectrum Colourblend pencils and blending solution and the lovely backing papers are a NitWits digital collection.

It's not often that I add sentiments, but I couldn't resist using the Lots of Love banner, which is from Tattered Lace - it seems to add just the finishing touch that I needed.

Looking at the close up, I am wondering if I should have added a little touch of glitter to those butterflies. Oh well, too late now....this card has already gone to a new home!

Thanks for stopping by today, and I wish you all a restful and crafty weekend.

Floral Abundance with Cute Card Thursday.

We have a new challenge today at Cute Card Thursday, where the theme is 'Floral'.

Now whilst this card may not be exactly cute, it is definitely floral!

It is pretty big - 8 x 8 inches, and i have to say it took 'blooming' ages to colour it all!

The image that you can see came from a Colorista A4 colouring pad, and I coloured everything in with my Colourblend pencils.

It is pretty tropical.....I could do with a bit of that in my life right now!

Hope you like it :-)

Sneak Peak - Sara's Shabby Chic Butterfly Cards

Sara's next Signature Collection is coming out soon, and I am delighted to show you some sneak peaks of this great collection.

I'm focussing on the butterflies today, starting with this box card  which I made using the gorgeously delicate butterfly dies and a page from the 6x6 paper pad with I have over stamped with a sentiment from the stamp set.
Here's another card featuring some more of the papers , the butterfly and the little tag dies which go with the sentiments.
And finally some more butterflies and paper and an embossing edge folder which I used on Coredinations card.

My cards will be winging their way to the USA for the HSN launch now, but I hope you will check out Hochanda to see what  some of my talented DT friends have made for the UK launch.

Thanks for visiting.

No Patterned Papers at Cute Card Thursday.

Well we have another challenge at Cute Card Thursday, where the theme is 'no patterned papers'. Now this sounds simple enough at first, but when I look at my cards it is quite surprising how many of them do have patterned papers...... even if it is just a sneaky little mat here and there!

So I made this card, using my tonic dies and three colours of plain card.

I really like the stark clean look against the delicate fairy.

So now we would really like to see what you create, so don't forget to hop over to Cute Card Thursday and add you creations.

Thanks for visiting.

Fab n Funky - Sponsored by Digistamps for Joy

 Hi there.

I am back with a new card for Fab n Funky, sponored by Digistamps for Joy, who sponsored this lovely image.

I reconnected with some old friends, in the form of my Promarkers for this challenge, and I had a real blast colouring in this image.
In fact, I had so much fun with it that I made up my card without following the challenge theme, which was Bingo. Slap on the wrist for me!!

I hope that you can do a better job of following this week's theme than I did, and I am looking forward to seeing all your creations on te Fab n Funky blog.

Bye for now and thanks as always for visiting.

Wedding Bells Edgeable - the final bit of romance for this week!

And this is my last 'lovey dovey' sample for this week....I think I am all romanced out for now!

This card features another die form the Crafters Companion edgeables range and, although it is actually wedding bells, I think you could get away with this for Christmas too.

Once again the Luxury card stock has come out to play.....if you get a chance to grab some, go for it as there is absolutely loads in the pack.

My wedding bells have been used as both an 'edge' and a standalone die cut, and I have finished off with a die cut sentiment from another one of Sara'a Signature ranges.

So there we are - enough of Valentines...bring on Easter! Watch this space!

Thanks as always for visiting.

Happy Valentines Day - Graceful Heart Edgeable

It's February 14th, so here I am with another Crafters Companion Edgeable die for you too see.

Ince again a very simple card, but this shows that these dies don't just have to be used for edges. You can cut through the bottom part and separate them so they can be used independently.

Aren't the delicate filigrees in these hearts gorgeous?

They would look really good with a bit of contrasting backing paper mounted behind them too.

I have used a combination of luxury card stock and centura pearl card for this sample, which gives a really sturdy card.

By the day - the little decorative corners that you see also come with the heart die.....a perfect little extra for a little bit of wow factor.

Thanks for visiting today.

Wild About you at Fab n Funky

Not much longer to enter this week's challenge over at Fab n Funky!

This week the theme is 'Wild About You' and we have been playing with some lovely images from The Paper Shelter.

I have decoupaged mine and used the corresponding backing paper.

Thanks for visiting for this very quick post.

I will be back on Wednesday with the next Fab n Funky challenge.

Special Occasion Edgeable

Hi there. I am back with a card that I made for Crafters Companion using their Special  Occasion edgeable die and their luxury glitter card stock.

I have opted for a Wedding card here, but you could change up the colours and use this card for any occasion really.

This is a very quick and simple make, with the pearl dots used for the 'icing'.

Hope you like it and thanks for visiting.

Love is in the air.....

Hi there,

On this cold and dull day I thought I would warm your hearts with this anniversary card that I made using  various items from Stamps by Chloe.

This is a really simple card to make and takes no time at all, but at the same time it looks quite special I think.

First of all I took the Heart Shaped wreath stamp, and stamped and embossed on to pearlescent paper, before adding some gorgeous Wow embossing powder. I also used an embossing pen to eade the card and applied the same powder to make a bit of a frame.

The cute little flowers are also dies form the Chloe range and the perfect size for this heart I think.

Finally I added pearl dots before matting and layering and hey presto...job done!

Hope you like it. I'm off to make the most of the dreary day, and get on with some crafting!

Thanks for visiting.

Sparkles Thanks Dear

Hi all.

I am back with a very quick card, which i made when the Spectrum Sparkles pens first came out.

You may remember that there were some stamps released alongside them at the time and this little deer  was one of them.

Now this is not one of my greatest colouring achievements, and my shabby photo skills made the deer look patchy, rather than sparkly -but it is the background that appealed to me on this one. It is very simple but I wanted to create the effect of a patchwork quilt.

This was very simply achieved by cutting out some simple paper pieces and then edging them with a fine liner pen.

So that's my little card for today.

Thanks for visiting.

Hearts and Flowers

It seems that Christmas is barely over and we are on to the next 'occasion' day, which is of course Valentines Day.

Now I may be getting cynical in my old age, but this seems to me to be a very commercial affair these days, and sometimes I think it means more to do something caring or thoughtful than go out spending a load of money!

That said, I do like to see a few hearts in the various images that come out at this time of year, and I have dug this one out of my digi archive which i think is just perfect, and would do well as a card for any occasion.
I have kept my card very simple, in line with my image, which is by Tiddly Inks (I think I forgot to mention that!)

My colouring is done with my Spectrum Noir pens and, for once I was organised enough to remember to write down the colours, so you will find them at the bottom of this post.

I wanted a bit of bling, so a tiny bit of glitter on the heart flowers (which kind of looks like frost I thought) and some lovely pearl dots.

It was a really simple card, but I was very pleased with the result, so I also made one with coloured pencils...which I will have to post another time!

Thanks for visiting today and I hope you all have a great weekend.
