Add a quote with Cute Card Thursday
It's time for a new challenge at Cute Card Thursday, and this week the theme is to add a quote.
I have used some of the recently released Sheena sketchies range for my card, and coupled them up with sparkle pens. I only needed three of them to create this whole card!
I used water colour card to create my background and I used cream pearlescent card for my aperture and the stamped elements. The sparkle colour comes out a little bit more muted when you paint on to pearlescent card, which is really nice. You just need to give it a nice long dry time so that it doesn't smudge.
So thanks for visiting today, and I hope you will join us over at Cute Card Thursday.
Bye for now.

Easter is coming with Cute Card Thursday
Well it seems that Christmas is barely out of the way and suddenly we have easter right around the corner! Time for lovely Spring colours and lots of bunnies, with sprinklings of Easter Eggs.
I have got it all covered on this card thanks to my Polkadoodles Winnie set and my Nitwits papers. My lovely Winnies is coloured with Blendable pencils and blending solution which gives a lovley soft finish.
Plus I have lots of embellishments which come from an old Polkadoodles CD which I don't think is made anymore as it is no longer on their website, but I am sure you can find something similar by checking out the embellishments section in any of her CDs that you may have.
So I hope you like my card for today, and we look forward to seeing you over at Cute card Thursday!
Thanks for visiting.

My final sample from the Crafters Companion One Day Special
It's time for my final card from the One Day Special set from Stacey Barras.
For this card I have embossed the roe with white embossing powder and coloured with mu Aquablend pencils.
I also used the pencils to create a light wash in the backgrounds and I have used second generation stamping to add the sentiment in the background.
Finally I cracked open my Frantage pot to add some white sprinkles on the background.
So that's my final sample from this set. Stick around though - you won't have to wait too ling for the next new set to come along. :-)
Thanks for visiting.

Trailing leaves
Happy Monday to my followers!
I am back again with my penultimate sample from the Stacey Barras stamps featuring in the One Day Special.
I loved colouring this with my Aquablend pencils, especially all those little leaves which were so easy to cut out.....I can seem myself making a whole frame with these.
Hope you are able to catch some of the shows today.

Trailing Flowers
My final card today from the Crafters Companion One Day Special featuring today and tomorrow.
Again fussy cutting was required but these images aren't hard to cut out at all.
There are also some really nice flourished and fillers in the set, and you can see that I have used one here, which looks really nice with white embossing powder.
Thanks for visiting once again. I'll be back tomorrow with my final samples from this set.

More Stacey Barras florals
So the first One Day Special has now been on Hochanda, with the next show coming up at 8pm.
How are you liking the shows so far?
These are really lovely stamps which work perfectly with Aquablend pencils.
For my next card I have created a circular aperture card, using corner stamps for the top layer, and the large flower for the inner layer.
I'll be back in a few hours with another sample.

Have a beautiful day!!
Hi I'm back with my next sneaky peak of the lovely stamps coming up on Hochanda at 6pm.
I loved playing with the stamps and my Aquablend pencils, and I wanted to remind myself that spring is coming, despite all the snow, so I decided some blooming flowers and blue skies were needed.
I love these flowers and I especially love the leaves which come in different shapes and sizes.
As you can see, I spent some time fussy cutting for this card, but the flowers and the leaves are pretty easy to cut.
The main flower is the same one stamped 3 times, but I just altered the angle and the length of the stem so that they looked different.
Finally, for the background i used distress inks and of course my trusty glycerine....how I every managed before i had that stuff I will never know!!
Thanks for looking!

A new one day special coming up.
Apologies for the rubbish photo, but I wanted to let you know that there is a new One Day Special coming up from Crafters Companion tomorrow, featuring a new set of floral stamps by Stacey Barras.
Kick off will be at 6pm on Hochanda, and myself and the other Inkoids have made a whole bunch of cards featuring these stamps and using aquablend pencils.
So for my card, you will see that I have stamped one of the flowers three times and cut out the petals to decoupage it. Everything that you can see is coloured with Aquablend Pencils - even the backing paper. :-)
For the backing paper I stamped lots of small flowers randomly and coloured them in. Next I took a green pencil and coloured roughly with the edges of the pencil in all the gaps. I then used a large round brush and water to smudge it, but not blend it completely, so that there is still some rough texture. Next I took one of the blue pencils and dew round dots randomly in the green area. Once again I smudged these with a small amount of water before finally dabbing on some glitter glue for a bit of sparkle.
Hopefully, although not a great picture, this might inspire you to make your own backing paper, or even decoupage a stamp.
Thanks for stopping by today.

Anything Goes with Colour Crazy
We have new challenge at Colour Crazy and this week the theme is Anything Goes, so I have decided to make a Christmas card using this lovely Sugar Nellie image, paired with some NitWits papers
I have coloured my image using Spectrum Colorblend pencils and blending solution, to create a soft water colour effect.
I have then kept my card clean and simple to show off the lovely image and papers.
Thanks for visiting today.

Cute Card Thursday - Anything Goes
Hi there. It's time for a new challenge at Cute Card Thursday and this time our challenge is anything goes.
With Easter looming, my thought are now turning towards chicks and bunnies, so with that in mind I am posting this cute chick among the flowers. I just love his startled face!
This isa 5 x 5 card and of course I have kept the image as the main focus, but the backing paper that you see was some freebie paper from an old issue of Making Cards magazine. I have to rate them as the papers they supply are always good quality, with some substance to them, so they are actually 'usable..'
In this case I just liked the colours and thought they went nicely without distracting from the main image.
So now it's over to you, to see what's on your mind right now, craft wise. we are looking forward to seeing what you share!
Bye for now.
