Colour Crazy Challenge with Bugaboo

Hi all. We have a new challenge at Colour Crazy this week, where we are sponsored by the fabulous Bugaboo. I really love their comical images, and it was so hard to chose which one to play with from my big collection. In the and I went for this Bugaboo Cats Topper, just because I love their faces.

I have coloured them all in with Spectrum Noirs and then used some gorgeous NitWits digital papers to match.

I hope you like my card today and thanks so much for visiting.

Sheena's latest release - A little bit festive

It's time for Sheena Douglass' brand new release today on Hochanda as the One Day Special.
Here are my samples which you will see on the show.
I have left the glycerine in the hands of the other girls this time around and for the most part I have gone for a very CAS look, aiming for that sketchy theme.
I've also mixed and matched with some of my existing dies, to make a lovely easel card.
Also - remember Nordic Christmas from last year? I have used one of the A4 embossing folders on Centura Pearl to create a lovely background for my church.
So don't forget to tune in to Hochanda from 6pm!

Cute Card Thursday - Sun, Sea or Sand

Hi there - it's time for a new challenge at Cute Card Thursday, where the theme is Sun, Sea or Sand. As you can see, I have chosen the Sea, using this fabulous Mermaid set from MFT.
I have thrown in a lot of techniques on this card.....some alcohol marker colouring, some dry embossing, a blended background and some glitter and sparkle for good measure, but hopefully it has all come together nicely!

I have to admit, as much as I love the mermaid, I think I like the little fish and the turtle even more.....it is often the little things that please me!

I hope you have enjoyed my card today and that you will come and visit at Cute Card Thursday.

Creative Stamping Issue 58 out 7th June

Hi all.

Just a quick post to let you know that I was lucky enough to have some of my cards featured in Creative Stamping Issue 58, which is now in your shops.

My contribution this month was some paint fusion cards, which appear on the Sheena's Diary page, and here they are.

Both of these samples started out as plain pieces of white card and, once you have played and learned a few basic techniques these cards can be made really quickly!

If you are a Sheena fan, this magazine is well worth the purchases as it comes with an A4 set of cling stamps also designed by Sheena, plus a free Izink stamp pad, so really good value for money!

Thanks for looking, and hope you enjoy the magazine if you buy it!

Creative Stamping Issue 57

Oh dear - I was so busy keeping a secret about my first ever commission in Creative Stamping magazine, that I forgot to post it on my blog!!

I was very lucky to be asked to create 5 cards using the new Rachel Norman stamps from Crafters Companion, for the June edition of the magazine.
As you can see, the images are all floral based and lend themselves very well to cutting out and decoupage.
This one made it to the cover!
I used Sparkle pens to create all my cards, but these stamps work well with any medium.
The magazine is lovely and features a beautiful set of cover stamps featuring the African Savannah, plus a free Izink ink pad.

Sadly it is no longer in the shops, but still available as a back issue from the publishers via their website.  :-)  it is well worth a read if you are an avid stamper / colourist.

Thanks for stopping by!

Mermaid Mania

Hi all. I am back today with one of my favourites from 'My Favourite Things' and that would be Mermaids.

I don't know why but i just love them - they are right up there with snowmen in terms of putting a smile on my face. :-)
This little cutie is a lot of fun to  colour. I used Spectrum Noirs and then finished of with glitter on her scales which I really loved.

For my background I have used Spectrum Aquas and the glycerin technique, and then finally splattering with Gansai Tambi  pearl white and gold paints.

So there we have my card for today. Thanks for visiting!

Bumbling along with Colour Crazy

Time for a new challenge over at Colour Crazy and this week I have Father's Day in mind with this lovely image of one of my favourite Dr Digi characters chugging along in his camper van.

I wanted to make a background scene for this card so, with a bit of help from my distress inks, my cloud stencil and some random stamps from my stash, i hope I have created the effect of a country road on a lovely Spring day.

I am not sure if our character is enjoying the bumpy ride, and I hope the suit cases stay put, but i am sure the destination will be worth the journey.

We love to see your colouring over on our challenge blog, so i hope you will hop on over and join in the fun.

Bye for now.
