Couldn't rresist one more quick post!

My final post of the day....once again to enter a couple of challenges:

This card is left over from Easter and was made using a lovely digi from Digistamp Boutique.....

I loved coulouring in these little chicks with gorgeous bright colours and matching them with some beautiful papers from my ever expanding NitWits collection.

I am entering this card in to the following challenges:

Pink Gem - photo inspiration

I love Promarkers - Use a Digi

Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes

Well that's me all posted out for today. If you like what you see, I would love if it you would become a follower and leave a comment, and then I can come back and visit you too!

Thanks

Second Post Today!!

Just a quick post to enter a card in to the Bearly Mine challenge which has a theme of 'The Animal Kingdom' this week.

Here's a card that I made using a stamp set from Stamp Addict's featuring cats, generally getting up to no good!

As you can see, there is no patterned paper at all here as I have used only bazill card stock in shades of brown for the backgound. The little fish are also from the stamp set.....

Thanks for visiting.

For the Boys

I thought I would post a card today that I have made with boys in mind. I don't often make 'boy' cards but I have to say that I just love the images on the Polkadoodles Pretty Tuff CD and I find myself going back to it again and again.

For this card I've coloured the boy with Promarkers and matched him with the backing papers which are also printed from the CD rom.

I've modelled this card on a sketch from Sunday Sketch and Stamp, so I am going to enter this card for that challenge, plus a few others below:

One Stop Craft Challenge - One for the Boys
Allsorts - Happy Birthday to someone special
I Love Promarkers - Use a Digi
Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping by today and hope to see you back here soon.

My first card in ages.....

As you may have noticed, I haven't been blogging too much lately......the truth of the matter is that I haven't made any new cards in a while. I has taken me a while to fight my way into my craft cupboard as is is in the spare room, along with many of the contents of our lounge and dining room, due to the ongoing decorating saga!!

However, I am pleased to say that I have finally cleared a path to some of my stuff, and, since I was lucky enough to have bit of 'alone' time today, I was determined to get some crafting in!

So - one Polka Doodles Sugar Plum Fairies CD and a pile of Promarkers later and here is one of the results......

There are some really gorgeous background scenes on the CD, in some lovely vibrany colours, so I picked out one that I liked (and believe me it was a struggle to narrow it down!!) and printed a backing paper which I thought, picked out the roof of the toadstool cottage.

Although I printed the backgound in colour (itwould have taken me a month of Sundays to colour it myself!), I chose to print the fairy in blck and white and coloured her with my Promarkers......boy have I missed them!!

The scene has been mounted on a simple A5 easel and voila......one card at long last!!

I am a bit behind on my challenges so I thought I would enter this one in to this week's Allsorts challenge, which you can find right  here.

Thanks very much for looking, and I hope to be back again soon as I am going to do my best to find a bit of card making time some time this week!

It's anything goes at I Love Promarkers

There's a lovely little 'Anything Goes' challenge at I Love Promarkers this week, so I thought I would enter another card that I made as part of my Stamp Addicts DT duties, using a rather unusual stamp!

This dressing up stamp would be ideal for any kids who like to dress up, especially if they are animal lovers as well. I wanted some tiger stripe backing paper to go with the image, but unfortunately I didn't have any so I had to resort to drawing and colouring my own background, using some Bazzill cardstock and a black Promarker.

I also had a go at a bit of background shading using the 'dotty' technique.....too bad I'm not that good at it....more practice needed I think!!

Anyway - here is the challenge that I'm entering.

Thanks for stopping by today.

May Flowers

Card Makin Malas have a challenge going on the theme of Flowers this week, so I though this would be a good opportunity to showcase one of the cards that I made for Stamp Addicts, using a stamp from their Etched Flowers range.

Here's a very simple card which I made using one of the lovely stamps (not being a gardener I have no idea what it is called!)

I simply stamped with stayzon and used a little watercolour for a delicate tint of colour, whilst the flowers are 'coloured' with glitter. A bit of matting and layering and that's all there is to it.

I'm entering this one in to Card Makin Mamas and also this new challenge which I came across today, from J and C Creations.

Too cute to stay hidden....

Over at Papertake they have a lovely challenge going which is simply to submit something cute. Of course this is right up my street, card making wise, and although I haven't been able to get on with anything crafty lately, I still have this little lovely left over from Easter which I have yet to show.

So, although Easter is well and truly done and dusted, I hope you will all forgive my indulgence in showing this card featuring one of the lovely Saturated Canary images and some beautiful Nitwits digital papers.

Despite my rubbish photo skills, I think you can actually see that the little girl is actually decoupaged - up to about three or four layers if I remember rightly.....and of course, coloured in with my Promarkers.

Here's the challenge for anyone who wants to drop by.....

Papertake Challenge

Thanks for looking.

Long Time.....No Blog!

Well it's been quite some time since my last blog entry, but there has been quite a lot going on here at the house of Goold!

Our house has been undergoing some major redecoration, whichwe have been trying to get on with for years, but you know how it is....always something else cropping up!

My husband is very meticulous were DIY is concerned so, in the end, Joshua and I had to go and stay at my parents for a couple of week while the house was turned in to a complete bomb site. Needless to say, I couldn't transport all my crafty stuff with me so I have not done any card making for weeks!

But the last thing that I did before our departure was to make some DT cards for Stamp Addicts ready for their C&C TV show which went to air yesterday.

In all the upheaval I have not been able to watch the show, but here is one of the cards that I made using the lovely, and very traditional Ballet set.

For this card I took the larger image of the Ballet shoes from the set, and stamped with pink pearl pigment ink, before finally embossing with clear detail embossing powder. I was then able to colour the shoes and ribbons with a pink promarker.

The sentiment is also from the set and this was also stamped and embossed before die cutting with plain round nesties.

I think the papers add to the traditional theme as they remind me of cottages and old fashioned drawer liners. They have come from a freebie pack that I received in a magazine a while back, but I am sure that you can probably find something quite similar without too much trouble.

Well there we go....I have finally broken my blog silence!!

Hopefully I will soon be able to get back to my card making again and have some nice new things to show you.

Have a good weekend everyone.
