Time for a new challenge at Colour Crazy

It's time for a new challenge over at Colour Crazy, and this week I have been playing with the cutest little bear from Di's Digistamps.
This lovely little chaps looks so happy to be sitting on top of that cup cake, and my immediate thought was that he would be perfect for a child's party invitation or birthday card. So I opted for very soft pastel colours, using my Spectrum Noirs and Spectrum Illustrators, and matched them perfectly with Sara's Signature range for the backing papers.

I don't know if you can see but I decoupaged the bow too, just for that little bit of extra lift.

Hope you ike my card today. Look forward to seeing you over at Colour Crazy.

Thursday 25 May 2017

It's time for a new challenge over at Cute card Thursday, and this week the theme is Clean and Simple. I have to admit that this is one of my favourite styles as it is great for one of those days when you don't want to think too just want to colour!

For my card today, I have used a lovely digital image for Tiddly Inks and used my Colourblend pencils to colour it in, along with a little bit of clear sparkle pen.

I pulled out my desert island Dotty stubby stamp by Stamps by Judith to create the dotty background using some random inks, and i finished of with a few pearl dots.

And that, as they say, is that!

Hope you like it. I'm looking forward to seeing all your lovely CAS creations over on the blog.

Bye for now.

Let's Get Sporty with Kenny K

We have a brand new challenge over at Fab n Funky and this week we are sponsored by Kenny K, with a theme of Let's Get Sporty.

I have chosen Skater Boy for my card and I have tried to give the impression of a skate park with my background papers.
My skater boy is coloured with Sprectrum Noirs and I have mounted him on foam pads so he is lifted from the page.

I hope you like my card this week, and I look forward to seeing you over at Fab n Funky.

Messy old furry friend.

Sometimes, when I go digging through my craft stash I find the odd little gem that I haven't used for ages or......dare I admit it.....I haven't used at all!

This lovely Messy Rabbit stamp from Joanna Sheen was still in it's pristine uncut rubber state (shame on me!) so of course I had to cut him out and get colouring.
I used my Kuretake real colour pens for this image, on water colour paper to get a nice blend coming. Even though these are water colour pens they give a really strong and vibrant colour, so I was quite pleased how he came out.

I finished the card with some freebie paper from a magazine and a scrap of ribbon, for a nice CAS card.

Hope you like him, and thanks for stopping by today!

What's not to love about House Mouse ?

I absolutely LOVE House Mouse!  There is just something about those cute little faces that always makes me smile, and there seems to be an image for just about every occasion.

I have some of the lovely House Mouse CDs, and this is one of the gorgeous images and matching papers which I simply printed and decoupaged to get some instant gratification!

So  - a very quick post for today, but I hope it brought a smile to your face, just like it did to mine.

Thanks for visiting.

New Challenge at Fab N Funky - Kids and Teenager Birthdays

I'm back today with a very special challenge for Fab n Funky, where the theme is Kids and Teenagers Birthdays. we are sponsored this week by.......
Lili of the Valley are celebrating their own birthday - 13 years old today! They are celebrating by releasing some gorgeous new stamps and digis between now and 20th May.

In honour of the occasion they allowed us to play with some of their lovely new digi's, and I was lucky enough to receive this beautiful little girl to colour in She is called Fairy Wings and she is a little sneak peak of what you can look forward to in the new release.

For my card I have opted for an Easel with some beautiful soft pastel colours to complement the delicate tutu and fairy wings.

I have used my Spectrum Colorblends and blending solution to achieve a very soft look and I have toped it off with some clear Sparkle pen for a little bit of twinkle!

I hope you like my card for today. Don't forget to pop over to Lili of the Valley to check out their lovely new range in the coming weeks....I know I will be doing a bit of shopping!

Thanks for visiting today.

Anything Goes at Cute Card Thursday

Hi there. I am back with a new challenge from Cute Card Thursday and this week their theme is Anything Goes.

So I have chosen to go with flowers this week, using the fabulous Lilac stamps and dies from Sheena Douglas. Now before you say anything, I know lilacs grow on large bushes, but I thought these also looked like hyacinths so I decided to put them in to a rustic tub.

The tub is 3D - it sticks out about an inch, which enabled me to really layer up my flowers and leaves.

I dies cut all the shapes and stamped them in Versafine, before colouring them with Spectrum Noir Vintage Sparkle pens. This was really simple to do - just a case of splodging on some colour and smooshing it around a bit!

I hope you like my card for today. See you over at Cute Card Thursday!

Guest Designer at My Besties International

And here is another message of excitement from me as I have been asked to join the My Besties International Team as a guest designer for May.

Their challenge them this month is to use ribbon and /or lace.....and of course you need to use a Sherri Baldi image.

Foe my card I decided to use this fantastic troll, which was just crying out for green hair in my mind.....don't ask me why!!!

Look at that happy little face....don't you just want to pinch those chubby cheeks??

So I coloured her in using my Spectrum Noir pens and Colourblend  pencils and finished up by making a fairly CAS card, in keeping with my style.

Thanks very much to the team at My Besties for letting me join you this month. It has been a blast!
