A match made in heaven

And that match would be Cute Card Thursday and All Dressed Up digital stamps!
This week, at Cute Card Thursday, we are very lucky to be sponsored once again by All Dressed Up.

As you may know, this is one of my digital designers of choice, so I was very happy to have an excuse to spend some time colouring in this lovely little lady using my Spectrum Colourblend pencils.

As per usual, I have chosen my papers before I coloured my image and I settled on some gorgeous 6x6 papers from Wild Rose Studio, called dancing daisies. So here is my finished card.....

Our theme this week is ribbons and bows, but I decided to 'think out of the box' a bit this time, and I have gone for a faux ribbon effect with my daisy die cut border and my stripey paper. 😉

So - that's my card for this week. I hope you will come and join us over at Cute Card Thursday. We love to see what you have made.

Bye for now and thanks for visiting!

Little Boys and Little Girls at Fab n Funky

It's time for a brand new challenge at Fab n Funky and this week we have a theme of Little Boys and Little Girls, sponsored by Pink Gem designs.

I have loved these little characters for a very long time, so it was lovely to dig out one of my stamps and play with it again.

I love the simplicity and innocence of these images, so I decided to colour this image very simply, without shading, to maintain that innocent appearance.

I have used a fantastic Tonic die set yo make my shaped card and I have found some old papers in may stash to mat and layer (they were woodland papers from Do Crafts but sadly I don't think you can get them any more.)

So that's my card for today.

Thanks so much for visiting, and I hope you will come and join in the fun over at Fab n Funky this week.

Anything Goes at Cute Card Thursday

It's time for a new challenge at Cute Card Thursday and this week the theme is Anything Goes.

It's a little bit off season but I have chosen to colour this lovely Easter image from Molly Harrison, just because I could!!
I have used Spectrum Colorblend Pencils for the entire picture and gone for a very soft effect. There is a hint of sparkle on those wings too, but sadly my photography skills are not good enough to pick that up.

I can't wait to see what you come up with , so I look forward to seeing you over at Cute Card Thursday.

Bye for now.

Cute Card Thursday sponsored by Star Stampz

It's time for a new challenge at Cute Card Thursday and this week we are sponsored by Star Stampz.

I decided to do some water colouring for my card today, so I printed this little cutie on to water colour card, and used making gum to cover her so that I could paint a water  colour sky in the background.

For  the little girl I used Spectrum Aquas for her clothes and skin, and used my Zig Real colours for her hair.

Finally I made the dandelion backing card by stamping and embossing the dandelions in white embossing powder before using a mix of aqua blend pens and glycerine to blend on the colour using a round blending tool.

Thanks so much for visiting today.

Colour Crazy Challenge - sponsored by Polkadoodles

It's time for a new challenge at Colour Crazy, and this time we are sponsored by the wonderful Polkadoodles. Now this was a challenge in itself as trying to choose one image from my accumulated stash of Polkadoodles images was not easy (it's not a case of what have I got.......more like what haven't I got!!)

So in the end I decided to go for one of the more recent releases, which is only available via download (rather than in CD format).
This little lady is called Primrose and she comes from the Darling Buds set which is a set of beautiful girls, all based around the theme of flowers. I think she is so beautiful and would work really well as a bride.

I wanted to keep the colours very soft ans I imagined that dress to be made of flowing silk, so I used by Spectrum Colourblend pencils and blending solution to achieve this.

I also had a very lucky find among some old magazines.....the perfect backing paper to go with this image....only one sheet though, so I had to make sure I didn't mess it up!

Finally, I kept the card very CAS, as I wanted all the focus to be on that gorgeous image.

Hope you like my card for today. Thanks for visiting.

It's a swishy tail kinda day!!

Hi. I am back again as we have a new challenge at Cute Card Thursday, and this week's theme is Sea and Sand. I have been collecting mermaid images lately so this seemed like the perfect opportunity to use one. This image is from the Ula images by Polkadoodles, and I absolutely love her!
As you can see, there is lots of colouring space and she would also be quite easy to cut out and decoupage (a plan for another day perhaps!)

I was very brave and made the background myself by randomly scribbling Spectrum Noirs in aquas and greens, and the same with the sand.

My little shells were some tiny stamps that I already had, and proved to be most useful!

Finally, I made my seaweed using some offcuts from a large tonic foliage die.

So that's my card for today. Hope you like it and thanks for visiting!

Feisty Females with Crafts and Me

Thanks for dropping in. I am back today with a new challenge from Fab N Funky, sponsored by Crafts and Me.

This is a new company to me, and I have to say that I really enjoyed colouring this image, using my Spectrum Noir pens. The theme this week is feisty females and I think this lady, called Genevieve, really fits the bill!

I also made the backing paper using Sheena Doug;ass's technique  where you mix Spectrum Aquas with glycerine and apply with a blending tool. It's a really fun and satisfying technique and, if you look closely you can see a little bit of metallic sparkle. I did this by splattering Gansai Tambi metallic paint on the paper......again, sooooooooo satisfying!!

I hope that you will come and join us at Fab n Funky this week, and remember - keep it feisty!!
