It's Christmas at Fab n Funky

Christmas time has come around again over at Fab n Funky and this week we are sponsored by the fabulous All Dressed Up.

Wendy is most known for her lovely character images, but has some fantastically cute animals too as you can see from this great bunch of penguins.

I decided to go with a frosty blue and green palette for my card this week, and as luck would have it, I had the perfect scrap of ribbon to fit the occasion!

The images are quite delicate with some tiny detail , so nicely sharpened pencils were the order of the day here. I decided to go with my Prismacolours this time to get some nice vibrant colour going on.

So at last...one Christmas card done and dusted for next Christmas!

Don't forget to come and join in at Fab n Funky. We would love to see what you create.

Thanks for visiting.

Spring has sprung

At Cute Card Thursday we are celebrating that start of Spring this week, so here I am with a fabulous image from Bugaboo which ties up everything that I love about Spring!

This is quite a busy little image when you look at it..such a lot packed in there, but it is such fun to colour with some lovely pastel tones.

I made sure to coordinate with some pastel papers from my stash and finished of with a little bit of ribbon and some Nuvo drops,...job done!

I can't wait to see all of your Spring Time creations, so be sure to pop over to Cute Card Thursday and join in the fun.

See you there!

It's rabbits...but not Easter Bunnies!

Hi there. It is certainly the season for rabbits, with easter coming up fast and furious.....but these are Christmas rabbits....and aren't they oh so cute.
This lovely design is from Lili of the Valley and I just love these two little characters.

I coloured my image in using blendable pencils and of course I couldn't resist adding some glitter to make some sparkly snow.

I used some lovely Nitwits digital paper for my background and teamed it with some holly ribbon and some candy dots.

So that's my card for today - hope you like it and thanks for visiting.

In to the man cave.......

Hi everyone. I am back today with a man card for a change! I have had birthdays for both my dad and my father in law in the last week or so, so man cards were definitely the order of the day.

Having exhausted both golf and fishing over the years, I opted for this lovely vintage boy at his work bench, which i thought would suit my father in law very well.
The image is from Lili of the Valley and I have coloured it all in with Spectrum Colourblend pencils and blending oil.

My lovely hammers and nails paper came from a very old Messy Rabbit CD that I got from Joanna Sheen....sadly I don't think it is available any more.

As you can imagine, the person for whom this card was intended isn't much in to glitter and ribbons, so I kept it all very clean and simple, although I did indulge myself with a few candy dots!

So that's a difficult card out of the way...now to set my mind on what I am going to do for Father's Day!

Thanks for visiting today.

Getting ready for the next big event.

The sun a starting to shine (sometimes!), the snowdrops have been and gone, and the daffodils are starting to bloom. Spring is finally coming and that means...not long until Easter!

I would like to say that I am well ahead with my crafting.....BUT.......this isa n Easter card that I made last year!

It was for one of my nephews, who is in his twenties and probably wouldn't appreciate a cute little bunny. 😛

So I opted for this fab, if slightly grumpy sheep from Hobby Art. I thought the look on his face went perfectly with the sentiment, which is a digital one from the Polkadoodles Winnei Spring CD.

I coloured him with my Spectrum Noirs and the background was blended with distress inks. I wish i could tell you where the paper was from, but it was one of those free pads from a magazine, but i am sure that NitWits do something along similar lines.

So I hope you like my card and slightly less than joyful sheep!! Hopefully I will be back soon with an Easter card from this year's batch.

Thanks for stopping by.

Fab n Funky - children

It's time for a new challenge over at Fab n Funky today and this week we are sponsored by Digital Delights who provided this ever so cute and cheery digital image called Bugsly.

The theme for this week is 'Children' so it could be cute little kiddies, or a card that would suit a child.

For my card I have kept things ever so simple and coloured Bugsly in lovely pastel colours to match my backing paper.

I hope you will pop over to the Fab n Funky blog  to join in the fun and check out the lovely creations by the rest of the DT.

Thanks for visiting today.

The latest thing from Crafters Companion - Foils and Transfers

Hi.

I have dropped in today with a sneaky peak of the Crafters Companion metallic foils and transfers. You may have seen Sara demonstrating them on You Tube recently, but they will soon be appearing on Hochanda too, so watch out for the TV programmes coming later this week.

Signs of Spring

I don't know if I dare say it, but, it seems we have some signs of Spring today. I have woken up to a beautiful sunny morning and blue skies! I am sure it won't last, but I will enjoy it while it is here!

So, I decided i would blog this card, as it really puts me in mind of Spring. I made it a long time ago, and, to be honest, I had completely forgotten about it, but it has made me think that I really need to get my House Mouse stamps out again as i so love colouring them!

This particular one was a digi from a CD and there were matching papers to go with it.

I coloured it with my Spectrum Noirs and did a little bit of decoupage too....I thought those lovely flowers and mice deserved it!!

My die cut flowers seemed to be a perfect match...they are daisies from Tonic studios.

And finally - I spent a very long time drawing faux stitches on this 8 x 8 card......but i think it was worth it.

I think we can officially say I am in to Spring now so look forward to more pastels and fluffy cuties in the near future!

Thanks for stopping by today, and have a great weekend everyone.  ðŸ˜Š

Something Oh SoGirly!

I'm back again to remind you that we have a new challenge starting over at Cute Card Thursday today which is Anything Goes....my favourite kind of challenge!

For my card I have dug around my old CDs and come up with the lovely Angelica and Adam CD (Crafters Companion) which has a whole host of cute boys and girls on it.

As you can see, I have gone to town on the pink for this card, which I made for a little girl who loves to play with her dolls.

I decoupaged the image, which has about four or five layers if i remember rightly, and used some of the backing papers form the CD ROM to go with it.

Finally, as it was a girly card, i just had to fit a bit of glitter in there somewhere, and the sparkly edge around the number made it stand out beautifully don't you think?

Thanks for visiting today.

I'm really looking forward  to seeing what you create over at the Cute Card Thursday blog.

Bye for now!
