Sheena Douglas - beautiful poppies

Hi all. Did you manage to catch Sheena's Sketchies slows last week on Hochanda? The shows were fabulous as always, with loads of techniques and ideas for all of you Sparkle Pens and Aqua Pens fans out there.

Here is one of my cards for the show, featuring the fabulous poppies which I absolutely love!

I created an easel card, using some of my existing dies, and stamped the main Poppy image, using versafine, and coloured in with a combination of aqua pens and sparkles.

For the base I stamped and embossed the same image using white embossing powder, and then I stamped a couple of the flowers again, so that I could cut them out and decoupage them as stoppers.

I really loved making this card. I have a feeling that this stamp will be seeing a lot more ink in the near future!

Thanks for visiting today.

  1. I did manage to catch the shows Sharon and I saw these beautiful Poppies which have now been added to my ever growing crafty wish list! Your card is superb and I like the CAS layout that you've used too. I also like the contrast of the white embossed Poppies against the red background. Thank you for sharing this with us at Stamping Sensations and good luck. Sandra x
